Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to:

Scope

This policy applies to all staff, volunteers, partners, and anyone associated with Stars School, a product of Shoshin Tech Private Limited, including any person participating in our programs or activities.

Policy Statement

Stars School, a Shoshin Tech Private Limited product, is dedicated to protecting children from harm, abuse, or exploitation. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where children learn, grow, and thrive. All individuals associated with our organization are responsible for prioritizing children's well-being and safety.

Code of Conduct

All staff, volunteers, and partners are required to adhere to the following code of conduct when interacting with children:

  • Treat all children with respect, dignity, and care, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion, or ability.

  • Be aware of and comply with local laws and regulations concerning child protection.

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries and avoid any behavior perceived as exploitative or abusive.

  • Avoid spending time alone with a child in a private setting.

  • Obtain parental consent before taking photographs or videos of children and ensure that these images are used only for their intended purpose.

  • Report any concerns or suspicions of child abuse to the designated Child Protection Officer immediately.

 

Recruitment and Training

Stars School, a Shoshin Tech Private Limited product, takes child protection seriously during recruitment and training. We will:

  • Conduct thorough background checks for all staff and volunteers who interact with children.

  • Provide comprehensive training on child protection policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Monitor staff and volunteer interactions with children to ensure compliance with our policy and code of conduct.


Reporting and Responding

All staff, volunteers, and partners are responsible for reporting any concerns or suspicions of child abuse. Stars School, a product of Shoshin Tech Private Limited, will:

  • Designate a Child Protection Officer responsible for managing child protection concerns.

  • Ensure all staff, volunteers, and partners know the reporting procedures.

  • Investigate any allegations of child abuse swiftly and thoroughly, in compliance with local laws and regulations.

  • Take appropriate action to protect the child, including informing relevant authorities, supporting the victim, and terminating the employment or affiliation of any individual found to have engaged in misconduct.
     

Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure its relevance and effectiveness. Staff, volunteers, and partners will be informed of any changes to the policy.
